We are proud that Nova KBM has been awarded a four-star Green Star Certificate for 2021, which places the bank into the “Green Leaders” group. The group includes companies whose business strategy has a highly integrated sustainability component, who have implemented sustainable solutions with proven results, and who cooperate with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve climate neutrality. The certificate is awarded by the Sustainable Business Network (CER), which recognized our progress and found that Nova KBM has long ago embarked on a path towards green transition and keeps goals and measures for sustainable business and climate action.
The Green Star Certificate is an evaluation of the Bank’s business in terms of sustainability and climate action and is based on international criteria and standards of sustainability reporting and EU regulations. It evaluates the impact of governance, environmental, and social factors on the company and the company’s footprint and impact on the environment, climate, and society.
